Case Study - Multiple Offices

The requirement was to provide better inter-office communication for a company working in catering equipment maintenance, with three premises across Southern England. They needed to be able to transfer calls from site to site and have the ability at peak times to answer calls ringing at one location at another as well.

We proposed replacing all three existing telephone systems with voice over IP (Voip) enabled equipment, joining the sites together by using Broadband links to create a virtual private network. (VPN). This enabled the client to transfer calls around the sites, call charge free and at peak times, enable call answering at the remote sites.

The new equipment allowed much better use of the staff time throughout the company as a whole, improved customer service levels and reduced the call charges incurred with their old set-up.

Although not a requirement in this particular case, it would also have been possible to employ one voice mail system sited at one location to serve all three premises, reducing the cost of providing the facility separately at each site.
